Is Moneta a mobile app I need to install?
No install needed — Moneta is a mobile-first web app that runs in any modern browser on your phone, tablet, or laptop. Add it to your home screen if you like; it works like an app without the app store.
Do students need phones or accounts?
Only if you want them to. Students can check balances and check out from their own phones, but it's optional: for phone-free classrooms you can run the entire economy from your device with the projector leaderboard, and students just use a 5-character passphrase in person.
Is this real money?
Never. Moneta is a simulated classroom currency you name yourself. It's designed for behavior incentives, classroom jobs, and financial-literacy lessons.
Can I use it for more than one class?
Yes. Each class is its own bank with its own currency, students, and settings. The free tier covers up to 20 students per bank.
